Vocabolario essenziale per sopravvivere in aeroporto
- Takeoff (verbo) – When the plane leaves the ground
- Land (verbo) – Return to the ground after being in air.
Our flight takes off from Pisa at 6:30 and we land in Paris at 8:30.
- Window seat (nome) – Seat next to the window
- Aisle seat (nome) – Seat next to the aisle *pronounced I’ll*
I like a window seat so I can look out at the sky.
I prefer an aisle seat because I don’t like to disturb other passengers when I need to use the toilet.
- On time – When a flight leaves at it’s scheduled time
- Delayed (aggettivo) – When a flight leaves later then its scheduled time.
I hope our flight is on time.
My flight was delayed so i have to stay at the airport for 2 more hours.
- Arrivals – Area for people flying in
- Departure gates – Location for outgoing passengers
I will meet you at the arrivals area when you land.
I always like to go shopping when I ‘m waiting at the departure gates.
